We can see a handsome man in his early thirties, sitting in his cabin doing some work on his laptop, wearing spectacles.
He was wearing a formal suit, his coat hanging on the back of his chair.
He was lost in his work when suddenly his phone rang, breaking the silence.
“ Hello, Vidyut Singhania speaking”, the man said, picking the call.
“ Yes, Keeyan Singhania is my brother. What?? I am coming”, Vidyut said, hanging up the call.
He picked his coat and ran outside his cabin.
“ Varun, prepare the jet”, He ordered his assistant and rushed downstairs towards his car.
Soon he reached the airport and left for his destination.
After landing, he rushed towards the hospital.
“ Keeyan Singhania”, He asked at the reception, wanting to know where his brother was.
After getting the details,he went to the second floor. He reached in front of the ICU and saw a lady sitting on the chair outside the ICU with a small baby girl in her lap. The lady was crying badly.
He looked at them for a moment before averting his eyes.
“ Doctor!! How is my brother?”He asked the Doctor who had just come outside.
“ Situation is very critical .Your brother doesn't have much time. Just go and talk to him”, Doctor said in a sad voice, before going away.
Vidyut felt his heart clenching hearing the doctor's words.
He entered the ICU and saw his baby brother lying with many tubes attached.
He slowly walks closer to him and holds his hand.
“ Keeyan!! Look I am here”, Vidyut said, trying to talk to him.
“ Bhai”, He heard the very weak voice of his brother Keeyan.
He had never thought that he would have to see his baby brother like this one day.
“ Bhai…”, Keeyan called his name again.
“ Yes, Keeyan!! I am here now. I will not let anything happen to you. You will be alright soon”, Vidyut said, holding his hand.
“ Bhai…I know I don't have much time left. Before I die, please promise me something…Please take it as my last wish”, Keeyan said, coughing slightly.
“ I am giving you the responsibility of two most important persons in my life. Bhavika and my daughter Amaya. Bhavika means a lot to me. She has sacrificed many things for me. …. please take care of her and Amaya ...Promise me Bhai…. please promise me”, Keeyan said to his brother in a weak voice.
“ I promise you …From now on, they are my responsibility. I will make sure, they never lack anything. From now onwards, they will be a part of the Singhania family”, Vidyut said, giving him the promise.
Getting the promise,Keeyan felt peace knowing his brother could die but never break his promise.
With a smile on his lips, he closed his eyes forever knowing his brother is there to take care of his family.
“ Keeyan wake up…Doctor…Doctor”, Vidyut said, yelling.
Soon the doctor entered the ICU. Bhavika also entered the room after handing her daughter to the nurse.
Tears were flowing down her eyes.
“ I am sorry”, Doctor said, declaring Keeyan dead.
“ No…Keeyan…. please get up”, Bhavika said, crying, trying to wake him up.
Vidyut had tears in his eyes seeing his baby brother lying on the bed, lifelessly.
“ Keeyan”, Bhavika continued crying, which made the baby wake up from her sleep.
Hearing the child's cry, Vidyut turned his gaze towards the baby.
His eyes softened, seeing the daughter of his brother, Keeyan's blood.
He went near the nurse and extended his arms, asking the nurse to hand over the child.
He told the child closer to his chest, trying to soothe her.
Within two minutes, the child stopped crying and fell asleep in his arms.
He looked at the baby, seeing his brother in her.
Vidyut asked his assistant to make all the arrangements and took Keeyan's dead body home with them.
“ Let's go”, he said to Bhavika, giving her the child.
Soon they reached their hometown Dehradun where his family was waiting with a heavy heart.
He entered the house along with Bhavika and Keeyan's daughter Amaya.
All their relatives had already gotten together in their house, hearing about Keeyan's death.
Soon Keeyan’s body was brought inside the house.
“ My son”, His mother screamed seeing Keeyan's lifeless body, lying on the floor.
“ My child”, she was crying badly for her younger son, whom they had raised with so much love.
Vidyut looked towards his mother, Jeevika, who was sitting on the floor crying badly. His gaze fell on his father, Raghav Singhania, who was looking so defeated, not being able to accept the reality. How can a father had the courage to accept his son’s death.
His Chacha - Chachi, Naitik and Rupali, were trying to comfort them but to no avail.
His grandfather, Mohan Singhania, the backbone of their Singhania family, was sitting there, cursing God for taking his grandson instead of him. He was ready to sacrifice his old life in return of his precious grandson.
Rithvik and Nitya, his younger cousins were trying to stop themselves from breaking down.
Vidyut went near his mother and hold her shoulder, giving her strength.
“ Vidyut!! Our Keeyan, how can he leave us?? How can he leave his mother alone?”Jeevika asked her elder son while crying for her younger son.
He wasn't able to say anything. He doesn't know how to comfort his mother who had just lost her younger son.
Bhavika was sitting beside Keeyan's body, looking at his lifeless face, silently crying. Amaya was in her arms, looking at everyone with curiosity.
“ Papa..”, Bhavika heard her daughter, trying to free herself from her hands,to reach her father.
Bhavika held her tightly,as tears were falling down her eyes. Amaya starts crying loudly, being not able to go to her father who was sleeping.
“ Papa..”, she said again, struggling to free herself.
“ Papa is sleeping, Amu. Don't disturb him baby”, Bhavika said, controlling her tears
Amaya didn't listen to her. At this moment, she just wants to go to her father, wants her father to pick her in his arms and hug her.
Hearing the small girl crying for her father, everyone present there, felt their heart clenching for the child.
