Chapter 5

Saanvi's p.o.v

I was enjoying my breakfast,when I got a call from Ishika.

“ Hello”, I said, picking the call.

“ Where have you been?? I have been trying to call you since last night”, she asked in a worried tone.

My cell phone was snatched away from me by those people. It was in the morning,when I found my cell phone within the parcel.

Maybe Vedanth is the one who had gotten my cell phone back.

“ After the exam ,I was so tired so I fell asleep and my cell phone was on silent”,I lied to her. I felt very bad for lying to her for the first time.

But I have no option since I can't tell her the truth.

“ Okay!! I forgive you ... .Now listen, Vedanth bhai is also in the city and coming today so Nandani Mom had requested Vedanth bhai to pick you up on the way and bring you here”, Ishika told me.

“ Okay!!”, I said, feeling guilty.

We talked for a few minutes, before hanging up the call.

I thought about going to my flat to pick my bags.

I picked my cell phone and went towards the main door. I was about to go outside when Arun, Vedanth's assistant stopped me.

“ Ma’am,You are not allowed to go outside”, he said, without changing his face.

“ But why??”, I asked him,not understanding why he was stopping me.

“ Sir has given us orders ... .we can let you go outside without his orders”, he told me.

I went back and thought to talk with him, because I need my bags for going to the Village.

But the problem is, I don't know his room. I looked for the housekeeper and asked him the way to Vedanth's room.

After knowing the way, I went upstairs and stood in front of his room.

I wasn't able to decide whether to go inside or not. I bit my lower lip, feeling nervous.

I was about to knock on the door when suddenly the door opened, making me startled.

“ What are you doing here?”he asked, looking at me.

“ I want to go to my apartment to pick up my bags but your men didn't let me go…”, I said to him, without looking at his face.

“ No need to go outside….you will get your bags”, he told me.

“ Okay”, I whispered.

“ Anything else?”, he asked in his deep voice.

“ Nothing”, I said before turning around and hurriedly going to my room.

As soon as I entered the room, I took a breath of relief.

“ Why is it so tough to talk with him?”, I mumbled and went to my bed.

After a few hours,it was time for us to leave from here to the village.

I got ready wearing a traditional dress. I looked at the mirror and my eyes fell on the nuptial chain and vermillion.

I thought about his words and decided to hide them.

I changed my hairstyle to hide the vermillion and kept a nuptial chain inside my shirt,to hide it.

Taking a last look in the mirror,I went downstairs where he was waiting for me in the car.

I sat in the back seat with him, while his assistant sat in the passenger seat.

I sat at the corner a little far away from him. I looked at him from the corner of my eye and saw him working on his laptop with an expressionless face.

He was looking so handsome with his angular face,sharp and strong jawline , he exuded a dominating aura that was both captivating and intimidating

“ What am I doing?”I scolded myself and turned my face away from him, looking outside the window, admiring the view,with a slightly red face.

In the whole way, he didn't speak a word to me. He kept himself busy doing his work, without looking at me,for even a second.

I heard him speak only to his assistant,that also regarding his work and nothing more.

“ He is so busy, always just thinking about work”, I mumbled softly.

I kept my head on the window and closed my eyes. I don't know when I went into deep slumber.

I felt someone calling my name.

“ Saanvi Ma’am…please wake up…we have reached”, I heard his assistant,Arun, saying this to me.

I rubbed my eyes and looked outside. I saw a big, beautiful Mansion standing with pride.

A smile appeared on my face, seeing the familiar mansion.

I can't wait to meet Ishika and Purvi Aunty.

I turned to my left and found Vedanth missing, knowing he had already left.

I got out of the car and made my way towards the mansion.

I entered the house and saw Vedanth sitting beside his grandfather,Karan Randhawa, who was looking at Vedanth with pride in his eyes.

Afterall, Vedanth is his eldest grandson who had proved his capability.

Vedanth's grandmother, Priti Randhawa,was sitting in front of them.

From the day Vedanth had joined their business,he had taken the business to new heights.

“ Namaste Dada ji, Dadi ji”, I said, greetings them

“ Namaste beta!! How are you?? How were your exams?”Vedanth's grandmother asked me.

“ Great! Where is Ishika?”, I replied with a small smile.

“ They hadn't returned yet ... .They will be here in two hours”, his grandmother said.

“ Ohh”, I replied, looking at my hands.

“ Come and sit beside me”, Vedanth’s grandmother said to me.

I sat beside her and talked to her softly, with a little nervousness due to Vedanth's presence who was sitting right in front of me.

“ Vedanth, Saanvi, both of you go and take some rest. I will send some refreshments for you”, his grandmother said to them.

Vedanth nodded his head and left from there to his room which was on the third floor.

“ Thank you”, I said and left for my room which was on the second floor.

Being the head of the family, Vedanth has a whole floor for himself, where no one is allowed without his permission.
