Chapter 21

Next week,

On his father's insistence, Shivansh got ready to go to his father's friend's hospital for a month.

Actually his father's friend is shifting to another country due to his children living there and before leaving, he wants to handover his hospital to some responsible hands.

So, Shivansh's father is sending him there to see the environment and make changes in management before they fully acquire the hospital.

Firstly Shivansh wasn't ready to go to Jaipur but on his parents’ insistence,he agreed.

Right now, Shivansh is on the way to Jaipur. The whole time, he was thinking about the moments he had spent with Avni.

“ Where are you, Avni?? Why did you leave me?? I know it was my mistake,but we could have sorted out the misunderstanding but you left just like that. You have no idea how difficult it is for me to live without you ....”, Shivansh mumbled, thinking about her.

On the other hand, 

Avni was working in the hospital which belongs to one of her father's friends.

After coming back from Mumbai, she had completed her internship here and then joined the hospital as a Doctor.

With her dedication, she has made a name for herself in her field.

She was in her cabin when someone knocked on the door.

“ Come in”, Avni said in her slightly cold voice.

“ Avni beta”, the hospital owner and her father's friend, Dr Verma,said,entering the cabin.

“ Uncle…. Please come inside”,Avni said, getting up from her place.

He entered the cabin and sat on the chair,in front of her table.

“ How are you?”, she asked him.

“ I am good. I especially came here to inform you that my friend had agreed to acquire this hospital once I leave for England. He is sending his son to see the management and analyse everything for a month before signing the contract”, He told Avni with a smile.

“ That's great”, Avni said,with a smile.

“ Yes!! I wish you would have agreed to handle the hospital”, he said with a sad smile.

“You know uncle, I am not interested in management work and all. I just want to treat my patients peacefully and give my best to them”, Avni told him.

“ I know. Leave all these things. Actually I need your help. I want you to assist him this month so he can become familiar with the environment”, he asked for her help.

“ Sure!! No problem”, Avni said, assuring him.

“ Thank you child”, Dr Verma said and left from there.

In the night,Shivansh reached Jaipur and shifted to a house,arranged by his father which was near to the hospital,for his convenience.

As soon as he entered jaipur,he felt something in his heart like Avni was near him. He was able to sense her presence.

“ Avni”, he whispered, standing near the balcony, looking at the stars.

At the same time, Avni was standing near her room's window, admiring the sky when she felt like she had heard his voice, calling her name.

Her eyes got filled with tears, remembering him.

“ You can't fall weak Avni….you can't…..Stop thinking about him …he had gone away from your life a long time ago…..Now you have no place for love in your life and heart …..”, Avni mumbled trying to convince herself, while wiping her tears.

Next day,

Avni got ready and went downstairs to have her breakfast with her family.

Everyone in her family were present there except her elder brother Ayush who had gone for his second honeymoon with his wife.

Two years ago, everyone in their family had thought that Ayush was going to remain unmarried his whole life,not knowing the fact that he was the first one in the triplets who got married many years ago under complicated circumstances,due to which he hid his marriage from everyone including his family.

When Everyone in the family got to know the truth,they were very shocked as well as happy. 

Avni was also very happy for her brother who had gotten the love of his life.

After having her breakfast with her family, she left for her hospital and got busy attending to her patients.

Later on,she was asked to go inside Dr Verma’s cabin to meet the person who is going to become the new owner of the hospital.

She knocked on the door of the cabin and looked at Dr Verma who was sitting on his  chair with a man,who was sitting  with his back towards the door.

“ Come in Dr Raghuvanshi”, Dr Verma said, asking her to enter the cabin.

She entered the cabin and said, “ Good Morning Dr Verma”.

“Good Morning, I want you to meet someone”, Dr Verma said to Avni.

“ Meet Dr Shivansh Oberio…He is the one whom I have talked about with you “, Dr Verma said, making her shocked.

“ Not him…. please God….not him” She prayed in her mind, not wanting the man to turn out to be Shivansh.

Slowly the man turned towards her, revealing his face. For a moment, a different emotion appeared in her eyes before it disappeared.

“ And Dr Shivansh, meet her. She is Dr Avni…She is the one who is going to assist you this month since both of you are cardiologists so it will be helpful for you”, Dr Verma said to him.

“ Hello Dr Oberio”, Avni said, extending her hand for a handshake,with a blank face.

She was looking at him like she was meeting a stranger.

“ Hello”,He said, holding her hand with different kinds of emotions.

“ Why don't you give him a tour of the hospital?”, Dr Verma asked Avni.

“ Sure!!  No problem”, Avni said, giving him a fake smile.

“ Great!! I will now leave him under your care”, Dr Verma said with a smile.

Shivansh didn't say anything. He was just looking at her face.

“ Shall we, Dr Oberio?”, Avni asked him in a slightly rude voice.

“ Yes…Yes”, Shivansh replied and they went outside the cabin.

“ Avni”, Shivansh said as soon as they came outside the cabin.
