Chapter 19

Two months later, 

Everything was going very great between them. Avni is very happy with her relationship with Shivansh. She is thinking of informing her family about Shivansh but before this, she wants to tell Shivansh about her true identity,her relationship with Raghuvanshi family,her being the only daughter of Raghuvanshi.

Today Avni is going to assist Dr Pawan in a minor surgery. He is also a famous surgeon of their hospital.

Before surgery,she is asked to gather all the information regarding the patient's past medical history,any allergies from the patient and his family.

Avni entered the patient's room and asked him some questions regarding his previous treatments and allergies.

She noted down everything and went to Dr Pawan, giving him all the necessary documents.

Soon the OT was prepared with her help. 

On the other hand, Dr Pawan went to the patient to meet him before the surgery.  

“ How are you?”, Dr Pawan asked the patient.

“ I am good ... .Will I be okay?”The patient asked Dr Pawan.

“ Yes, totally. You don't need to worry. It's just a small surgery ”, Dr Pawan assured him.

“ Doctor, I am allergic to a medicine, which I forgot to inform Dr Avni”, the patient told him about his allergy.

“ No problem…I will manage”, Dr Pawan said and left from there.

After a few hours, they went inside the O.T for surgery.

During the surgery,the blood pressure of the patient starts sinking.

As per the procedure,they gave the patient medicine but instead of getting fine, his health started to decline.

“ He is allergic to this medicine”, Dr Pawan told everyone panicking, knowing he forgot about this,due to which this happened.

With the help of other doctors,he succeeded in saving the patient but unfortunately the patient went into a coma.

Dr Pawan starts panicking, knowing if the hospital gets to know about his mistake, he will be finished. He thought about something and turned to Avni.

“ Dr Avni,I had given you one responsibility and you were not able to finish it. The patient was allergic to a particular medicine and you didn't mention it in the records. How can you be so responsible?? I will inform the hospital about this right now”, Dr Pawan said, putting the whole blame on her.

“ But Dr Pawan….I had written everything that the patient had told me…..I don't know about his allergy”, Dr Avni said, defending herself.

“ It was your responsibility to inform me about his past medical history…. which you failed to do….”, Dr Pawan said and left from there,not giving a chance to say anything.

After few hours,

Avni was sitting outside the office alone. While inside the meeting the going on about her and what happened in the O.T.

Avni wasn't able to understand anything about what was happening. 

Within a few minutes,she was asked to go inside the meeting room.

As soon as she entered the meeting room,she saw other senior Doctors, along with Chirag, Bhavna and Shivansh.

“ What do you have to say about the carelessness that happened today??”Bhavna asked her in a stern voice.

“ I don't know about his allergy. If I had known,I would have written it down in the records”, Avni informed them.

“ Stop lying…..his family members have already told us that the patient had mentioned his Allergy to the staff. You were the only one who had gone to him to get his records so obviously it was you whom he had told and you neither  wrote it down nor informed Dr Pawan about this, leading the patient to Coma”, Another Doctor questioned her.

“ No ... .he hadn't told me anything…I am not lying…”, Avni said to them, trying to convince them.

“ All evidence is against you ... .You should be thankful that we are not cancelling your medical licence but now you can't work in our hospital…. It's our hospital’s final decision. We are terminating you from this internship program”, Bhavna told her in a stern voice.

Avni was looking at Shivansh trying to see trust in his eyes but he was not looking at her.

She left the room and waited outside before Shivansh's cabin, wanting to talk with him.

He came towards his cabin and entered the door without looking at her.

She looked at him , going inside his cabin, ignoring her presence.

She knocked on the door and entered his cabin.

She saw him standing beside his table,with his back towards her.

“ Shivansh…”, Avni said softly.

“ How can you make such a big mistake? Does a patient's life mean nothing in your eyes?”he asked her angrily while turning towards her.

She looked at him with disbelief. She thought even though no one trusted her today, but her Shivansh, he would trust her.

But he proved her wrong. She was feeling pain in her heart seeing the accusation in his eyes.

“ You will not ask me what happened??”, she asked him,in a crying voice.

“ What is there to ask?? Everything is right in front of my eyes….I never thought you can be so careless... .you have any idea what you have done ... .the patient is in a coma just because of you”, he told her, holding her arms tightly.

“ There is no use to talk further when you don't trust me….I thought even if no one will trust me but you will trust your Avni….but I was wrong very wrong….I am going from here…away from this hospital…this city and especially from you….goodbye”, Avni said, pushing him back and running outside his cabin, with tears in her eyes.

Shivansh continues looking at her, going away from him.

He felt a sudden pain in his heart but he was so lost in his anger that he wasn't able to understand anything.

Avni reached her home while crying. As soon as she reached home, she found her elder Brother Ayaan who had come there to surprise her.

“ Princess”, Ayaan said, seeing her crying like this.

“ Bhaiyu”, Avni said and ran towards him, hugging him tightly, while crying badly.

“ What happened bacha?? Did someone say anything? Tell me…”, Ayaan said, trying to know what happened to his princess.

He was feeling worried seeing his only sister crying so badly. He wants to teach the person,who is responsible for his princess's tears,a good lesson.

“ I don't want to talk about anything ... .I just want to go back…please bhaiyu”, Avni said crying,just wanting to go away from everything. 

She doesn't need anything right now except her family.

Everyone blaming her, didn't hurt her that much as compared to the pain Shivansh had given her,by not trusting her.
