Chapter 18

One month later, 

It has been a month since they had started dating each other.

Both of them are trying to understand each other, their feelings and emotions. Both of them are very happy with each other.

“ Hello”, Shivansh said, coming close to her.

“ Hey”, Avni replied.

Shivansh had come to her apartment to pick her for their coffee date.

“ Ready?”, He asked her.

“ Yes”, she replied, wearing her seatbelt.

Soon they reached the cafe. He ordered her favourite coffee.

“ After two days, it's my parents' marriage anniversary. We are organising a small party and I want you to come there”, Shivansh told her.

“ But how can I ?”she asked, feeling nervous.

“ Why can't you?? You are my girlfriend and I want to introduce you to them”, he told her.

“ But…”, she tries to reject his invitation.

“ No if and buts….you are coming to the party”, He said,in his dominating voice, making her agree.

They spend some time together before going back.

Two days later,

Avni got ready in a beautiful blue saree, looking very elegant and beautiful.

She picked her bag and gift, before going downstairs where Shivansh's driver was waiting for her.

She sat in the car and made her way towards Oberoi Mansion.

She entered the mansion with a flower bouquet. 

She looked around trying to find Shivansh but he was not there. Her eyes fell on his parents who were receiving congratulations from the other guests.

She makes her way towards them.

“ Good evening Mam, Good Evening Sir…..I wish you both a very Happy marriage anniversary….”, Avni said, giving them the bouquet.

“ Thank you so much “, they said with a big smile on their face.

She talked to them for a few seconds before going a little away since they were busy welcoming the other guests.

She was standing at the corner when she felt an arm wrapping around her waist. She turned around and saw Shivansh standing beside her.

“ Hello Love”, Shivansh said to her.

“ Hello”, Avni said with a shy smile.

“ Did you meet Mom and Dad?” Shivansh asked her.

“ Yes”, Avni told him.

They were standing together when Shivansh’s sister Saanvi came towards them along with her husband Dr Chirag and their daughter Siya.

“ Shivansh”, Saanvi said, standing behind them.

Avni and Shivansh turned towards them. Saanvi looked at them, giving them a teasing smile.

“ Di”, Shivansh said looking at his sister.

“Hello Avni….or should I say Avni bhabhi …”, Saanvi said in a teasing manner, making Shivansh and Avni blush.

“ Dii …..You ..”, Shivansh doesn't know what to say.

“Siya come and meet your Mami”, Saanvi said, holding her daughter in front of them, teasing them more.

“ Stop teasing them…. otherwise they will turn red and we will not be able to distinguish between them and  tomatoes”, Chirag said, teasing them a little more.

Avni was not able to look into their eyes,due to shyness. 

Although Shivansh was feeling a little shy, he still kept his arms around her waist, claiming her as his in front of everyone in the party.

Later, his parents cut the cake and Avni joined them in celebration. 

Avni spent a good time with them, before taking her leave from the party.

“ Shivansh, go and drop Avni to her home”, Shivansh's father ordered him.

“ Yes, Dad”, Shivansh said and left from there with Avni.

Both of them sat in the car and made their way towards her apartment.

“ Did you enjoy the party?”, he asked her.

“ Yes!! I really enjoyed it with you and your family”, Avni told him.

“ Our family!! Now what mine is yours as well …They are your family as well….”, Shivansh said, looking at her intensely, making her feel shy.

Soon they reached her apartment. They were standing when suddenly it started raining heavily.

Mumbai and it's raining…very unpredictable …..

They hurriedly ran to take shelter.

“ It’s raining heavily…. please stay in my apartment till the rain stop”, Avni said to him, not wanting him to travel in bad weather.

“ You sure?”, he asked her.

“ Yes”, She replied and soon they went inside her apartment.

“ Take the towel”,Avni said, giving him a towel to dry his hair since his hair got wet due to rain.

“ Thanks”, he said and took the towel from her.

She also starts drying her hair using a towel. He sneezed while drying his hair.

“ Let me make coffee for you”, She said, keeping the towel aside and went to make coffee.

They both had their coffee and were sitting on the couch, talking with each other and waiting for the rain to slow down.

Suddenly the power was cut, making the living area darkened.

“ Shivansh”, Avni said, getting a little scared.

“ I am here”, he said, holding her hand.

“ I am scared of darkness and thunder”, She told him, feeling scared.

“ Don't worry!! I am here”, Shivansh told her.

Suddenly Avni heard the sound of thunder, making her hug him tightly due to fear.

Shivansh held her tightly in his arms, trying to make her calm.

He switched on the mobile torch, making the darkness subsided a little.

“ Relax”, he said, rubbing her back, calming her down.

He broke the hug, making her look at him.

He cupped her face in his hands. Their faces were very close to each other, making them have an eye lock.

Both of them got lost in each other's eyes. His eyes fell on her cherry lips, which were inviting him.

He gulped his saliva and looked in her eyes. Avni noticed his gaze falling on her lips again and again.

She closed her eyes, giving him the permission for his unsaid request.

He understood her unsaid words and leaned his face closer to her.

Soon their lips collided, making shiver run down their spines. It was their first kiss. Although it wasn't that perfect due to their inexperience, it was very special for them.

They continued  kissing each other and soon got the right way, making them moan in pleasure.

After a few minutes,they parted their lips, taking deep breaths.

Avni’s cheeks were red due to shyness. He gave her a peck on her red cheek, before chuckling slightly, making her smile as well.

Within a few seconds, the light came back and rain had also stopped outside.

He said goodbye to her and left from there.
