Chapter 16

Next day, Avni went to hospital with a smile on her lips. 

“ How are you feeling now?”Manvi asked her about yesterday's incident.

“ I am much better now”, Avni said, giving her a smile.

She was waiting for the moment when she could see Shivansh but she didn't get the opportunity. But later she got to know that he is not in the hospital. She felt very sad. Whenever she thinks everything is working between them, something happens.

She was sitting on the bench,lost in her thoughts. 

Bhavna was going to her cabin after finishing a surgery when her eyes fell on Avni who was looking sad.

“ What happened?”, Bhavna asked her, making her startled.

“ Ma’am”, she said, turning towards her with a shocked expression.

“ Hello Avni”, Bhavna said, giving her a smile.

“ Hello Ma’am”, Avni said, giving her a little awkward smile.

“ Whenever we meet, I always see you sitting here sadly. Last time it was due to my son so I can assume, this time also my son is the reason for your sad face, right?”, Bhavna asked her, raising her eyebrows.

“ It's nothing like that”, Avni said feeling embarrassed.

“ Don't worry. He will not trouble you for a whole week since he has gone to another branch of our hospital in another city to manage a special case”, Bhavna told Avni, indirectly telling her about Shivansh's whereabouts.

Bhavna saw her eyes sparkling, hearing Shivansh's name. Bhavna is sure now that Avni also has feelings for Shivansh.

Avni understood why Shivansh was not in the hospital. He was absent due to his work and not because he was trying to avoid her.

Avni didn't say anything and kept looking at her hands.

“ Take care”, Bhavna said and left from there.

She was thinking about something when she got a message. She checked her cell phone and saw Shivansh’s message.

“ Avni, I will be back within a week. I have something important to talk about with you. Wait for me ….”, he messaged her.

Avni's heart skipped a beat, seeing his message. 

She continued looking at his mess,with a smile on her lips.

In the evening, she went to her flat after completing her shift. As soon as she entered the flat, her eyes widened. 

“ Surprise!!”, her whole family screamed.

“ Ahhh…..you all here”, Avni said, screaming and running towards them.

Her whole family had come to Mumbai to give her a surprise. Actually Ronak had told them about what happened in the hospital and about her low feelings. So they thought to come here and give her a surprise, trying to cheer her up.

Due to her big joint family, her flat was almost crowded but none of them cared about it. They were just happy to see their princess.

“ Princess”, her father said, opening his arms.

She went to him and hugged him tightly, sniffing his familiar scent.

She got busy meeting her family and spending some quality time with them.

Her family stayed with her two days before going back. During these two days, they never asked her about the hospital incident. They just tried to keep her happy always.

Avni was very happy after meeting with her family. To spend some quality time with her family,she had taken leave for two days from the hospital.

Days passed, the day came when Shivansh was coming back to the city.

Avni was excited to see him after a week. She happily went to hospital and her eyes collided with him. Both of them looked towards each other with shy smiles. 

Shivansh was finally feeling happy, seeing her in front of his eyes. Only he knows how difficult it was for him to live there without seeing her for a day.

After an hour, Shivansh called her to his cabin.

“Come in”, Shivansh said, permitting her to enter his cabin.

“ Good morning”, Avni said, greeting him.

“ Good morning..”, He replied, looking at her face.

“ You called me?”, she asked him.

“ Yay!! I want to discuss some important cases”, he said and asked her to sit.

Avni sat down and they talked about a case. 

When Avni was about to open the door to go outside his office…..

“ Avni”, he called her.

“ Yes!!”, she said, turning towards him.

“ Are you free in the evening?”he asked her, making her surprised.

“ Yes”, she said,still in shock.

“ I would like to take you for dinner….”, he said to her.

“ Dinner?”, she asked,with shocked expressions.

“ I want to talk about something important ... .Will you come with me to dinner?”, he asked her.

“ Yeah!!”, she replied in shock.

“ Great!! I will pick you in the evening”, Shivansh told her.

“ Okay!!”, Avni left from there with a sweet smile.

After completing her work, she reached her apartment.

She went to take a shower and got ready for dinner tonight.

She was wearing a beautiful Bottle green colour Indian Palazzo suit, looking elegant.

Around 7:30 PM, Shivansh came to her apartment to pick her up.

“ You are looking beautiful”, he said, looking at her with intense eyes.

“ Thank you”, Avni replied,with a shy smile.

He took her to a famous restaurant and led her towards the private area, where a candle light dinner was arranged for them.

Avni was a little shocked, seeing the arrangements but she felt happy.

“ Have a seat”, Shivansh said, pulling the chair for her like a gentleman.

“Thank you”, Avni said and sat beside him.

They had their dinner silently, feeling content with each other's presence.

“ Avni”, Shivansh said,once they had their dinner.

“ Yes?”, she asked, looking in his eyes.

“ I want to tell you something important ... .I have been feeling this for quite some time and now I can't hide it more….I don't know when I started feeling like this but this happened….. Firstly I am really sorry for behaving so rudely to you but what should have I done? …I just can't see you with someone else ... .When I see you with someone else, I feel like destroying this world because……..I am in love with you ....”, Shivansh confessed, taking a deep breath.
