Chapter 10

In the evening, Avni told her parents, regarding her first experience in the surgery.

In the night,she was lying on the bed. Whenever she closes her eyes, she sees Shivansh's face. 

Finally she got frustrated and started reading a book to distract herself.

She doesn't remember when she fell asleep while reading her book.

Next day, When she reached the hospital,she saw Rohan standing beside a handsome man.

“ Hello Avni”, Rohan said, greeting her, seeing her coming towards them.

“ Hello”, Avni said, greeting him.

“ He is Dr Prithvi…he has joined our department today as an intern and she is Dr Avni”, Rohan said, introducing them.

“ Hello!! It's nice to meet you”, Dr Prithvi said, shaking her hand.

“ Same here”, Avni replied to him.

Later she went to her work with Manvi, who was looking a little lost.

“ Is everything okay?”, Avni asked her.

“ Yes, Everything is fine”, Manvi said, coming out of her thoughts.

Avni looked at her, who was again lost in her thoughts.

In the afternoon, five of them sit together where Rohan introduces them to Prithvi.

They were having their lunch together,when Avni noticed Manvi who was secretly looking at Vansh again and again.

While looking at her, Avni's eyes collide with Prithvi,who was looking at her.

Avni raised her eyebrows, asking him what happened.

He shakes his head and gets busy eating his food.

Two days later, 

Today Avni and others are going to a restaurant since Rohan is going to introduce his fiance to them.

Avni got ready and  went downstairs where Manvi was waiting for her in her car.

They sat in the car and made their way towards their destination.

Soon they reached the restaurant and went to a private table where Vansh and Prithvi were sitting along with Rohan and a girl, his fiance, Megha.

As soon as they reached the table, Rohan introduced them to Megha.

Avni really liked her personality. She was really a sweet girl. They looked very good together.

“ So how did you both meet?”, Manvi asked them, curious to know their love story.

Rohan and Megha looked towards each other, communicating through eyes, with a smile on their lips.

“ So sweet”, Avni thought in her mind. For a second, a picture came into her mind, which made her a little scared.

In the picture,she imagined herself and Shivansh, looking at each other with the same love, understanding and passion.

“We have known each other since childhood. We are neighbours or you can say enemies from childhood.At that time,  We were always ready to kill each other”, Rohan said,with a smile, recalling the memories.

“ We were in the same school and he used to tease me everyday, making me hate him…I thought he is the man whom I hate most in my life….”, Megha told them with a smile 

“ One day, I saw her with a boy and I felt a burning sensation inside me. I felt like killing that man. For a few weeks,I wasn't able to understand my feelings but then It finally sunk in that I am madly in love with her”, Rohan told them.

“ Then?”, Avni asked, getting more curious.

“ He started chasing me. Firstly I felt frustrated but later on, I felt his care and love towards me. Later on, we came close and finally he proposed to me in front of our families. Where can I get such a loving man?? So I said YES!!”, Megha told them, remembering that beautiful day.

Everyone was looking at them with a smile.

“ You both are so cute”, Manvi said to them, cheekily.

“ What a sweet love story….”, Vansh said and looked at Megha for a second before looking away.

“ Thank you everyone”, Rohan and Megha said to them.

“ When are you both getting married?”, Avni asked them.

“ Next year”, Rohan said and looked towards Megha,who gave him a shy smile.

“ Don't forget to invite us”, Vansh said, teasing them.

They had their dinner while chatting with each other. Later Avni was coming outside after using the washroom when her eyes fell on someone.

She saw Dr Shivansh entering the restaurant,with a beautiful girl,who was walking very close to him.

Seeing him with another girl, she felt a little pain in her heart.

She turned her eyes away and made her way towards her private table.

Soon she left the restaurant with her friends.

Two weeks later,

It has been two weeks since Prithvi had joined their hospital and became good friends with them.

“ Manvi can you please help me?”Avni asked Manvi, needing her help in a case.

“ I am really sorry but I am busy right now. Why don't you ask Prithvi? I am sure he is free to help you”, Manvi said and looked towards Prithvi with teasing eyes.

But Prithvi was lost in looking towards Avni who was busy checking some reports.

Everyone in their group had figured out that Prithvi likes Avni but Avni is still unaware of this. She doesn't have any kind of feeling towards Prithvi,Maybe because she already has someone in her heart but she is unaware regarding this.

“ Can you help me?”, Avni asked Prithvi.

“ Yes!!”Prithvi said and both of them went to the patient's ward.

Prithvi and Avni were doing their work.In between, Prithvi was telling her jokes, making her laugh.

“ You are really too much”, Avni said, laughing.

She misses to see the emotions which Prithvi holds in his eyes for her. But everything was seen by Shivansh, who understood Prithvi’s intention towards Avni.

Seeing Prithvi looking at Avni with love filled eyes, Shivansh felt fire burning inside him.

“ Dr Avni, Dr Prithvi, this is a hospital and not a place to gossip or tell jokes. So focus on your work ....”, Shivansh said in a rude voice.

“ Sorry Dr Shivansh”, Avni and Prithvi said together.

“ And what are you doing here Dr Prithvi…Your duty is not assigned in this department?”Shivansh questioned him.

“ I was helping Avni”, Prithvi told him weakly.

“ Firstly finish your own work then think about helping other people”, Shivansh said in a rude tone.
