Chapter 2

After an hour, Avni messaged her brothers and asked them to meet her at the terrace.

Within a few minutes, everyone gathered at the terrace.

“ Princess,you call us here…. What’s the matter?”, Ayush asked her.

Whenever these siblings wanted to talk with each other about some serious matter, they came to the terrace at midnight.

“ Firstly tell me bhaiyu, where have you been?? Why didn't you come home last night?”, she asked him, showing a little angry face.

“ Actually I have to attend an important meeting in another city so I wasn't able to come back”, he told her the reason.

“ Then you should have informed Mom”, Avni said to him.

“ Sorry Princess ... .I will not do this again”, Ayush said, holding his ears.

Ahaan and Aarav were looking at him with a smirk on their lips.

“ Yes Princess…You are right to scold him. He is becoming very irresponsible day by day”, Ahaan said, adding fuel to the fire.

Ayush glared at them angrily, warning them to stay quiet with his eyes.

“ Okay, I forgive you but don't forget to talk to Mom tomorrow morning”, She said in a stern voice.

“ I promise”, Ayush said with serious expressions.

“ Princess, why did you call us suddenly here?”, Aarav asked her.

She looked at three of them and gulped her saliva.

“ Actually…. actually…”, Avni tried to say something.

“ Is there any problem?? Is someone troubling you?? Just tell us his name, we will handle him properly”, Ayaan said, ready to teach someone a lesson.

“ Will you shut up idiot??”, Ayush said, making Ayaan shut his mouth.

“ Princess??”, Ayush asked her.

“ I am going to Mumbai for my internship for a year”, Avni said in one breath with closed eyes.

“ What did you say? I think I heard something wrong?”, Aarav asked her,not believing what he had heard.

“ Bhaiyu…I am going to Mumbai for my internship”, Avni told them.

“ What?? But why?? Here we have so many hospitals then why Mumbai?”, Ayush asked her, not wanting to see his one and only sister going away from him.

“ I had gotten selected for an internship in Life care Hospital…. It's the most famous hospital of India…. Please don't stop me”, Avni said, showing her sparkling eyes.

“ Did you talk with Mom and Dad?”, Ayush asked her.

“ Yes!! And they had agreed”, She told them.

“ Okay!! But you will need to come back as soon as your internship is finished”, they said, sighing, knowing very well they can't force her to stay here and compromise her dreams.

“ I promise," she said, jumping happily.

They shook their heads with a small smile, seeing her crazy behaviour.

Next day, Adhiraj told his whole family about Avni going to Mumbai for a year for her internship. Everyone got a little upset knowing their daughter was going away from them.

The whole week, Avni got busy in her preparation and buying necessary things.

Finally the day came, when Avni was going away from her house for the first time.

Her relatives came to Raghuvanshi Mansion to meet her before she shifted to Mumbai.

Avni got emotional seeing her whole family gathered together. It was not easy for her to go away from her family,her protection shield but she had to do this to fulfil her dream.

“ It's just for a year”, Avni whispered in her mind again and again, stopping herself from crying.

She met all her relatives, her mamu,her masi, her bua and their families who had come to meet her.

She hugged her brothers and cousin brothers before saying goodbye to everyone and leaving from there with her parents who are coming to drop her till Mumbai.

Soon they reached Mumbai via their private jet. Adhiraj wants her to live in their own house which is located in a high profile society but Avni denies saying she wants to experience living like a normal girl.

At last Adhiraj accepted her request and arranged a flat near her hospital to stay.

Since Adhiraj and his brothers were worried about her safety, they arranged some secret bodyguards for her without her knowledge.

Mira knows about this but she doesn't have any objection knowing they are doing it for Avni's safety only.

Adhiraj and Mira lived with her in the flat for a night before going back home.

Once they left, Avni felt very lonely in the flat. She felt tears forming in her eyes. She wiped her tears, comforting herself because she knows she doesn't have her family here who will make her smile.

She controlled her emotions and got busy unpacking and arranging her things.

“ Mom,  did you guys reach home?”, Avni asked, making her lunch.

“ Yes!! How are you?? Did you have your lunch?”Mira asked her.

“ I am just about to have it. How are everyone in the family and bhaiyus?”, Avni asked, missing everyone.

“ Everyone is fine, just missing you”, Mira told her.

“ I am missing everyone as well”, Avni told her with an emotional voice.

“Ready for tomorrow?”, Mira asked her, trying to change the topic.

She doesn't want her daughter to get sad, remembering them.

“ Yes!! I am very excited for tomorrow”, Avni said, excited.

“ Good!! Also I forgot to tell you,the househelp will come there from tomorrow itself to clean and cook” Mira said to her. 

“ Okay!”Avni replied.

Both of them talked for a few minutes before Avni had her lunch and went to her room for a nap.

Once waking up, she felt a little bored so she went out to roam around and make herself familiar with the surroundings.

In the night,she cooked her dinner and started watching her favourite web series.

Next day,she got up early in the morning and got ready for her first day in the hospital.

She had her breakfast and booked a cab for her hospital.

On the way, she called her family and took her blessings for her first day.

“ All the best for your new journey”, she got messages from her relatives and cousins, which made her smile.

Within a few minutes,she reached her destination.

She stood in front of the hospital building, admiring her.

She took a deep breath and entered the hospital building.

“ Hello!! Can you tell me where the cardiologist department is?”, Avni asked the hospital staff.

“ What work do you have there?”the female staff asked her, looking at the computer, doing her work.

“ Today is my first day of internship…”, Avni said, giving her a smile.

“ New intern?? Go straight and then turn left ... Go and wait there.I will inform you as soon as senior doctors will give me any instructions``, the female staff said, looking at her for a second before getting busy with her work.

Avni gave her a smile before going away from there. She reached the location as instructed by the female staff and found more than 25 boys and girls  sitting there already.

She went and sat on the bench, beside a girl.

“ It's your first day?”, the girl asked her.

“ Yes!! I am a new intern”, Avni told her.

“ Which department?”, she asked again.

“ Cardiologist”, Avni told her.

“ Me too…I forgot to introduce myself…I am Manvi…..Manvi Sharma”, the girl said, extending her hand for hand shake.

“ Avni Raghuvanshi….”, Avni said, holding her hand and giving her a smile.

“ It's good to meet you”, Manvi said smiling brightly.

“ Same here”, Avni replied , returning her smile.

“ I am so excited for our first day…but a little scared as well”, Manvi said to Avni.

“ I think everyone present here today is feeling the same emotions”, Avni told her.

“ True”, Manvi said.

They talked for some time before one of the staff came and took them to the seminar room, asking them to wait for a while.

Within a few minutes, a senior doctor entered the room  and gave them a smile.

“ Good morning everyone!! I am Dr. Chirag Sinha, Head of the Gynecologist department…”, he said, introducing himself.

“ Good morning Dr Sinha”, everyone greeted him back.

“ I hope all of you are very excited for your new journey….”, he asked them.

“ Yes!!”Avni replied with everyone else with full excitement.

“ For the next whole year, you have to give your best and gain knowledge from your seniors with dedication. In other professions, it's okay to make mistakes but not in our profession. Because our one mistake can take someone's life. So you have to do everything perfectly……”, Dr Sinha said with a stern voice.

Everyone was listening to him seriously.

“ Now Interns of the gynaecologist department will follow me and others will wait here for their respective senior doctor ... .That's all I have to say ... .All the best for your future”, Dr Sinha said with a smile on his face.

Later he left the room and five interns of his department followed him.
