Chapter 1

Outside the city, in the middle of the forest, there was an abandoned building in which many dangerous men were arranging explosives and weapons.

“ We need to finish these within two days. After two days, the whole country will tremble once we succeed”, a man, having long beard said with madness in his eyes.

“ Yes, we will succeed in our mission”, the other man, who was wearing a black shirt and a hat, said, with the same madness.

Suddenly a voice came and the first man fell down on the floor. He had a bullet mark on his forehead.

“ Hide everyone. We are surrounded”, the man in black shirt said to his partners.

Soon the building was filled with the sound of guns.

“ Devil, take your position. Eagle and Tiger you will cover me and wolf…Everyone in your position”, A girl was hiding behind the pillar, with a gun in her hand as she was instructing her team members.

All of them were wearing black clothes while their faces were covered with masks.

“ Yes Boss!!” They said,as they hurriedly took the position.

“ Wolf, ready?” She asked her team member.

“ Yes”, A man in his early twenties said excitedly.

“ Shoot”, She shouted as she and the wolf moved in the front, firing nonstop.

Eagle and Tiger were covering their back, making sure no one hurt them from behind while Devil was standing at the corner, trying to detach the hidden danger.

Soon they killed all the dangerous men and captured their leader, the same man who was wearing black shirt.

“ Kal…. Everyone is dead except him”, Devil informed her, after checking everything around.

“ You ... .you... .Kal… the shadow team”, the man said, trembling seeing the girl and her team members.

He knows there is no chance of him being saved now after getting caught by Kal and the shadow team.

The girl knocked him unconscious,not having the patience to hear his rubbish talks.

“ Take him to the location”, the girl said to her team members, as she called someone.

“ Sir, the mission is completed. Moreover we had captured Mohan alive”, The girl informed her seniors.

“ Great!! I know You and your team will never disappoint us and our country. Once again, we all are safe just because of you and the shadow team. You have made our country proud”, The man said with pride in his voice.

“Everything is because of you, Sir”, the girl said in a firm voice.

“ Everything is possible because of your efforts. You are the one who had made your team, our country's best undercover team in special forces, who had never failed any mission. We are proud of you”, her boss said, praising her.

“ Let's meet tomorrow. Now you need to rest”, her boss said, asking her to rest properly.

The shadow team is their country's most famous undercover team, which consists of five members. They are part of Special forces who work to protect their country from any kind of danger.

In these last five years, they had never failed in their mission. Everyone had heard their name but no One knew about its members, their real names, their identities, nothing. No one knows the leader of this deadly team who is famous with her code name Kal is a girl who is in her mid twenties.

Next day,

Early in the morning

The same girl was jogging in the park, doing exercise to keep herself fit.

“ How are you uncle?” She asked an old man, who was sitting in the park. She had a sweet smile on her lips, although her eyes were empty, devoid of any emotion.

The smile on her lips wasn't reflected in her eyes.

“ I am good, beta. How are you? How is your job??” the man asked her with a smile.

“ Everything is great," she replied. After chit chatting with him for a few minutes, she moved forward, continuing her exercise.

“ Who was she?” The old man’s daughter asked him, who had come today with him, to go jogging.

“ She is Vanya. She lives in our building only. Such a nice girl she is. I have been seeing her coming to this park everyday for the last few years”, the old man told his daughter with a smile on his lips.

Seeing Vanya’s innocent face, no one can guess that she is an undercover agent.

After finishing her exercise, Vanya went to her apartment and got ready for her job.

She is working as an assistant in one of the branches of Malhotra group of companies, as her cover up job for society.

After having her breakfast, she left for her company which was just a few minutes away from her house.

She was wearing a pale yellow colour shirt with neutral trousers along with some simple jewellery and a locket on a chain around her neck that she never took off from childhood.

“ Good morning”, She wished her colleagues as she entered the company.

She got busy arranging the schedule of her Boss, Arnav Malhotra, as he will be here any time.

Arnav Malhotra was the youngest child of his family. His family was from Mumbai while he was here handling the Delhi Branch of their business.

She has been working for him for the last two years as his assistant.

She made a coffee and went inside the cabin, where a man in his mid twenties was sitting on the chair, calmly.

“ Good morning sir”, Vanya said, with a big smile on her lips.

“ Good morning Vanya. And why are you calling me Sir? How many times I had told you to just use my name. Moreover, don't forget, all of this is just a facade. In reality you are my Boss.”, He said, standing straight in front of her.

“ Arnav!! In office, you are my Boss, you fool. Then how can I take your name? What if someone hears us?”, Vanya said in her stern tone, her face devoid of any emotion.

“ Vanya!! But it doesn't matter. Don't forget we are not just team members,but best friends as well. Moreover, In the office everyone knows you are my best friend so it doesn't matter.”, he said, sitting down on his chair.

“ Fine, Arnav. I think we should start our work now”, Vanya said, finally agreeing with him.

“ Ofcourse, my dear assistant”, Arnav said in a teasing tone.

Vanya shakes her head in disbelief before telling him his schedule for the day.

Arnav Malhotra was none other than her team member, code name Devil, the information expert of her team.
